The Beginning

Born from Airplanes and Technical Curiosity

Mechamey began with a simple childhood feeling: looking at the sky, seeing aircraft, and wondering how machines move, fly, and become real.

Long before Mechamey became a company, it started as a feeling: a child staring at the sky, fascinated by airplanes and the invisible engineering behind them. Every aircraft overhead was a question — how does it stay up? What holds it together? Who designed that wing?

"That curiosity grew into a professional path through vehicles, buses, technical project management, aviation concepts, lightweight structures, and mobility innovation. Mechamey carries that same feeling forward: if it moves, flies, folds, rolls, or solves a real problem — it can be imagined, engineered, tested, and improved."

Two forces shaped the company's identity: airplanes and technical curiosity. The founder's journey through Volvo and Scania brought industrial depth and delivery discipline. But the aviation dream never left. Mechamey was founded to bridge that gap — between daily industrial work and the ambition to build things that fly, fold, and move people better.

Small Aircraft Concept
A long-term 2–4 person aircraft concept inspired by the LSA category. Lightweight, simple, and practical.

Mechamey is exploring the design and construction of a small 2–4 person aircraft, inspired by the LSA (Light Sport Aircraft) category. The project represents Mechamey's aviation passion and long-term ambition to combine lightweight design, safety thinking, prototype construction, manufacturability, and practical engineering.

The concept draws on aviation structural principles, material efficiency, and cockpit simplicity. It is a prototype ambition — a long-term vision being shaped through research, design thinking, and structured feasibility.

Project 02
Aviation-Inspired Folding Bike
A lightweight, foldable bicycle engineered with airplane materials and structural thinking.
"Aircraft thinking. Bicycle freedom."

Mechamey is developing a bicycle using airplane-inspired materials and structural engineering principles. The goal: a bike that is very light, sturdy, foldable, and practical for everyday urban mobility. It should be easy to fold and unfold, and the long-term commercial idea is that customers can assemble it at home as an enjoyable, technical experience.

This is not only a bicycle. It is a small aircraft-inspired engineering object — applying carbon fibre, aluminium alloy, and aerospace structural thinking to everyday human movement.

MechaPort
A lightweight digital support application for instrument pilots, starting with Swedish airports.

Mechamey identified a demand in the aviation industry: many instrument pilots need simple, lightweight, standardised digital tools to support airport approach and departure preparation. Existing tools can be fragmented or costly. MechaPort is being developed as an all-in-one support application for instrument pilots — beginning with a structured database of Swedish airports.

Pilots can check each airport in a standardised way. Future development includes georeferenced maps to support safer, clearer, and more accessible approach and departure workflows at lower cost.

MechaPort is a support and information tool. It does not replace official aeronautical information, certified navigation tools, approved charts, or regulatory flight-planning requirements.
Project 04
Electric Bicycles & City Vehicles
Future mobility concepts for lighter, cleaner, and more practical urban movement.

Mechamey's roadmap includes electric bicycles and compact city vehicles, with focus on lightweight structures, efficient packaging, practical manufacturing, urban mobility, and sustainable transportation. These future products carry the same Mechamey design philosophy: lighter, stronger, simpler, and more useful.

Aviation-inspired materials, efficient battery packaging, and Scandinavian design thinking will shape these future mobility concepts as they move from roadmap to prototype.
